 When
you visit most Pagodas in Myanmar, you can find Planetary Posts
there. They represent for the days we born.
There are seven days a week which are Sunday, Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. But in Myanmar, we
believe that it is 8 days in a week as we split Wednesday into
morning and evening. They are called Wednesday and Rah.
Planetary Posts are situated mostly at Pagoda footage, together
with the Image of Buddha and mythical animals which represent
for the day.
Sunday is the day of the Garuda (galoun) the mythical king of
birds. The northeast direction is their own and lucky direction.
Sunday is the day of the sun. Sunday born is very definite in
purpose and energy and go-ahead spirit is in their minds and
in their souls. They are very stubborn. Anything that is difficult
and laborious interests them. Too good and too generous to others
is not good for them; people will take advantage of that.
Monday is the day of the Tiger. The east direction is their
lucky direction. Monday belongs to the Planet Moon. In character,
they are patience, perseverance and solidarity are outstanding.
They are always reliable. They are very ambitious. Their aim
in life is to make success of things.
Tuesday is the day of the Lion. The southeast direction is their
lucky direction. Tuesday belongs to the Mars. They want to do
work with some prestige and dignity attached to it. They are
a natural self-promoter. Their idealism motivates them to seek
challenges and to dedicate themselves to great and worthy causes.
They attract people because of their honor and strength of
character.
Wednesday is the day of the Elephant with Tusks. The south direction
is their lucky direction. Wednesday belongs to the Mercury.
In character they are hasty in temper, impulsive, independent
and their desire to be their own master.
Rahu (Wednesday evening born) is the ascending node of the Moon,
the day of the Tuskless Elephant. The northwest direction is
their lucky direction. They are a person who has a wide circle
of acquaintances, but few close associate, as they do not make
friends easily. In character they are hasty in temper, impulsive,
independent and desire to be their own master. Their aim in
life is to make a success of things.
Thursday is the day of the Rat. The west direction is their
lucky direction. Thursday belongs to the Jupiter. Serious-minded
in their approach, they quietly go about whatever they have
to do. Ambition is their driving force. Their aim in life is
to make a success of things. They are very ambitious.
Friday is the day of the Guinea-Pig. The north direction is
their lucky direction. Friday belongs to the planet Venus. Sensitivity
is one of their best virtues, and they empathize with the difficulties
of others. They have the restless nature and dislike being tied
to any situation. Try to raise their performance to their full
potential. They can show their abilities and talent favourable.
Saturday is the day of the Dragon. The southwest direction is
their lucky direction. Saturday belongs to the Saturn. They
are naturally very intelligent and quick-minded. They tend to
be very hard-working and this should bring them various rewards.
They will probably find it very difficult to work in a group
or a team. If they try to be patient, they will become the leader
of the group.
Myanmar people visit a pagoda and worship at famous Buddha Images
at first then at Planetary Posts according to their day of birth.

someone wants to do important things or unhappy for their lives
or want to be achieve more, they offer lights, flowers and pour
water to their respective Planetary Posts. Then they believe
that their wish will come true.
Also Myanmar people believe in what fortune tellers or astrologers
saying that if people want to achieve in things they need to
offer at planetary post as per following;
For work or job, pray at Sunday's planetary post, for money
= Monday, for achieve or success = Tuesday, for conversation
= Wednesday, for trouble or difficulty = Raha, for Education
or help from boss = Thursday, for Love and Marriage = Friday,
for Crime = Saturday.
Mostly they offered flowers of their day of birth, telling rosary,
meditation, pouring water for age equivalent cups, offering
age equivalent candle lights, etc to their respected Planetary
Post. After that they have their clear minds and believe that
all bad things are gone away and all good things will come through.
